This fine art print, “Dance of Freedom,” is one of my most heartfelt works — painted as an artist living in Iran during a time of immense change. Every detail is layered with meaning, every brushstroke a testament to resilience, beauty, and the unstoppable spirit of women.
 
The figures are wrapped in flowing fabrics of green, white, and red — the colors of the Iranian flag — supporting each other as they unravel the chains of oppression. Though still blinded and suppressed by the ruling class, they continue to dance, fight, and rise boldly toward freedom.
 
The fire symbolizes destruction of the old so that something new can emerge. From its flames grows a tree, wild and blossoming — a symbol of rebirth and life after struggle.
 
Above them soars the Simorgh, a mythical Persian bird formed of thirty birds, representing the truth that only through unity can we climb the highest mountains and reach our collective dreams.
 
In the distance lies Tehran, Iran’s capital city, bearing witness to both the pain and the possibility of transformation.
 
Across the black scarf, in Persian calligraphy, are the words:
“My hair in the hands of the wind is proof of my Freedom.”
 
And as the sky shifts from night to day, it promises that even in the darkest hours, the light is inevitably coming.
